Confidence Comes Before Perfection
Sue believes learners make the best progress when they feel comfortable, encouraged and able to try without fear of making mistakes. Lessons are designed to be purposeful but relaxed, with plenty of opportunities to use English in a natural way.
Rather than using the same approach for everyone, Sue adapts activities, pace and support to suit the learner — whether that means helping an adult find the confidence to join a conversation or helping a child understand a new sound and use it successfully in reading.

A Teaching Career Shaped by International Education
Sue's teaching experience spans international schools, adult conversation teaching in Japan and work with Ministries of Education in Brunei and Malaysia. This international background has given her a strong understanding of the challenges learners can face when using English as an additional language.
It also means she brings cultural awareness, flexibility and a practical understanding of how to help learners communicate with greater confidence.
